1Hearthis, O priests! Giveheed, O house of Israel! Listen, O house of the king! For the judgment applies to you, For you have been a 1snare at Mizpah And a netspread out on Tabor.
The 2revolters have a3gonedeep in depravity, But I will chastiseall of them.
I 4knowEphraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me; For now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot, Israel has defiled itself.
Their deeds will not allow them To return to their God. For a 5spirit of harlotry is within them, And they 6do not know the LORD.
Moreover, the 7pride of Israeltestifiesagainst him, And Israel and Ephraimstumble in their iniquity; 8Judahalso has stumbled with them.
They will 9go with their flocks and herds To seek the LORD, but they will 10not find Him; He has 11withdrawn from them.
They have 12dealttreacherously against the LORD, For they have borneb13illegitimatechildren. Now the 14newmoon will devour them with their cland.
815Blow the horn in 16Gibeah, The trumpet in Ramah. Sound an alarm at Beth-aven: "17Behind you, Benjamin!"
9Ephraim will become a 18desolation in the 19day of rebuke; Among the tribes of Israel I 20declare what is sure.
The princes of Judah have become like those who 21move a boundary; On them I will 22pour out My wrath23like water.
11Ephraim is 24oppressed, crushed in judgment, 25Because he was determined to dfollow man's command.
Therefore I am like a 26moth to Ephraim And like rottenness to the house of Judah.
When Ephraimsaw his sickness, And Judah his ewound, Then Ephraimwent to 27Assyria And sent to f28KingJareb. But he is 29unable to heal you, Or to cure you of your gwound.
For I will be 30like a lion to Ephraim And like a younglion to the house of Judah. 31I, even I, will tear to pieces and go away, I will carry away, and there will be 32none to deliver.
I will go away and return to My placeUntil they h33acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly34seek Me.
