11Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
For He grew up before Him like a 2tenderashoot, And like a root out of parchedground; He has 3no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Norappearance that we should bbe attracted to Him.
He was 4despised and forsaken of men, A man of csorrows and 5acquainted with dgrief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was 6despised, and we did not 7esteem Him.
4Surely our egriefs He Himself8bore, And our fsorrows He carried; Yet we ourselvesesteemed Him stricken, gSmitten of 9God, and afflicted.
But He was hpiercedthrough for 10our transgressions, He was crushed for 11our iniquities; The 12chastening for our iwell-being fell upon Him, And by 13His scourging we are healed.
6All of us like sheep have goneastray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To jfall on Him.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not 14open His mouth; 15Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silentbefore its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, whoconsidered That He was cutoff out of the land of the kliving16For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
His grave was assigned with wickedmen, Yet He was with a 17richman in His death, 18Because He had 19donenoviolence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
But the LORD was pleased To 20crush Him, l21putting Him to grief; IfmHe would renderHimself as a guilt22offering, He will see23His noffspring, He will prolong His days, And the ogood24pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.
As a result of the panguish of His soul, He will 25seeqit and be satisfied; By His 26knowledge the RighteousOne, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will 27bear their iniquities.
12Therefore, I will allot Him a 28portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out r29Himself to death, And was 30numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself31bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.
