Then Isaiah the 1prophetcame to KingHezekiah and said to him, "What did thesemensay, and from where have they come to you?" And Hezekiahsaid, "They have come to me from a far2country, from Babylon."
He said, "What have they seen in your house?" So Hezekiahaanswered, "They have seenall that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasuries that I have not shown them."
Then Isaiahsaid to Hezekiah, "Hear the 3word of the LORD of hosts,
6'Behold, the days are coming when 4all that is in your house and all that your fathers have laid up in store to thisday will be carried to Babylon; nothing will be left,' says the LORD.
'And some of your sonswho will issue from you, whom you will beget, 5will be taken away, and 6they will becomeofficials in the palace of the king of Babylon.' "
87Then Hezekiahsaid to Isaiah, "The word of the LORDwhich you have spoken is good." For he bthought, "For there will be peace and truth8in my days."
