from the samemouthcome both blessing and cursing. My brethren, thesethingsought not to be thisway.
Does a fountainsend out from the sameopening both afresh and bitter water?
123Can a figtree, my brethren, produceolives, or a vineproducefigs? Nor can saltwaterproducebfresh.
13Whoamong you is wise and understanding? 4Let him show by his 5goodbehavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
But if you havebitter6jealousy and cselfishambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lieagainst7the truth.
15Thiswisdom is not that which comesdown8from above, but is 9earthly, d10natural, 11demonic.
For where12jealousy and eselfishambition exist, fthere is disorder and everyevilthing.
But the wisdom13from above is first14pure, then15peaceable, 16gentle, greasonable, 17full of mercy and goodfruits, 18unwavering, without19hypocrisy.
And the h20seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peaceiby those who makepeace.
