"He who is a hiredhand, and not a 3shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolfcoming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolfsnatches them and scatters them.

"He flees because he is a hiredhand and is not concernedabout the sheep.

even as 6the Fatherknows Me and I know the Father; and 7I laydown My life for the sheep.

"I have8othersheep, which are not of thisfold; I mustbring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become9oneflock with 10oneshepherd.

"For thisreason the Fatherloves Me, because I 11laydown My lifeso that I may take it again.

"12Noone has taken it away from Me, but I 13lay it down on My owninitiative. I haveauthority to lay it down, and I haveauthority to take it up again. 14Thiscommandment I received from My Father."
