So5the Jews were saying, "Seehow He 6loved him!"

But some of them said, "Could not thisman, who 7opened the eyes of the blindman, havekeptthismanalso from dying?"

SoJesus, again being deeplymovedwithin*, came to the tomb. Now it was a 8cave, and a stone was lyingagainst it.

Jesussaid, "Remove the stone."Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, "Lord, by thistime there will be a stench, for he has been dead 9fourdays."

Jesussaid to her, "10Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"

So they removed the 11stone. ThenJesus12raised His eyes, and said, "13Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

"I knew that You alwayshear Me; but 14because of the peoplestandingaround I said it, so that they may believe that 15You sent Me."

When He had saidthesethings, He cried out with a loudvoice, "Lazarus, comeforth."
