The Deity of Jesus Christ

1 ¹In the beginning was ²the Word, and the Word was ³with God, and ⁴the Word was God. 2 ^aHe was in the beginning with God. 3 ⁵All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 ⁶In Him was life, and the life was ⁷the Light of men. 5 ⁸The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not ^bcomprehend it.

The Witness John

6 There ^ccame a man sent from God, whose name was ⁹John. 7 ^dHe came ^e¹⁰as a witness, to testify about the Light, ¹¹so that all might believe through him.
