And soSimonPeteralsocame, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linenwrappingslying there,

and 1the face-clothwhich had been on His head, not lying with the 2linenwrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself.

So the otherdisciple who 3had firstcome to the tombthenalsoentered, and he saw and believed.

For as yet4they did not understand the Scripture, 5that He mustriseagain from the dead.

So the discipleswentawayagain6to their ownhomes.

7But Mary was standingoutside the tombweeping; and so, as she wept, she 8stooped and looked into the tomb;

and she saw9twoangels in whitesitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

And they said to her, "10Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because11they have takenaway my Lord, and I do not knowwhere they have laid Him."

When she had saidthis, she turnedaround and 12sawJesusstanding there, and 13did not know that it was Jesus.

Jesussaid to her, "14Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, "Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away."

Jesussaid to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him 15in Hebrew, "16Rabboni!" (whichmeans, Teacher ).
