SoJesusanswered them and said, "1My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

"2Ifanyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of Godor whether I speak from Myself.

"He who speaks from himself3seeks his ownglory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is nounrighteousness in Him.

"4Did not Mosesgive you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you 5seek to kill Me?"

The crowdanswered, "6You have a demon! Whoseeks to kill You?"

Jesusanswered them, "I did7onedeed, and you allmarvel.

"For thisreason8Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from 9the fathers ), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.

"10If a manreceivescircumcision on the Sabbathso that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entiremanwell on the Sabbath?

"Do not 11judgeaccording to appearance, but judge with righteousjudgment."

Sosome of the people of Jerusalem were saying, "Is this not the man whom they are seeking to kill?

"Look, He is speakingpublicly, and they are sayingnothing to Him. 12The rulers do not reallyknow that this is the Christ, do they?
