"However, 1we knowwherethisman is from; but whenever the Christ may come, nooneknowswhere He is from."

ThenJesuscried out in the temple, 2teaching and saying, "3You bothknow Me and knowwhere I am from; and 4I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

"5I know Him, because6I am from Him, and 7He sent Me."

So they 8were seeking to seize Him; and nomanlaid his hand on Him, because His 9hour had not yetcome.

But 10many of the crowdbelieved in Him; and they were saying, "11When the Christcomes, He will not performmore12signs than those whichthisman has, will He?"

The Phariseesheard the crowdmutteringthesethingsabout Him, and the chiefpriests and the Phariseessent13officers to 14seize Him.

ThereforeJesussaid, "15For a littlewhilelonger I am with you, then16I go to Him who sent Me.

"17You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come."

18The Jewsthensaid to oneanother, "19Where does thismanintend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to 20the Dispersion among 21the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?

"What is thisstatement that He said, '22You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come '?"

Now on 23the lastday, the great day of the feast, Jesusstood and cried out, saying, "24Ifanyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
