14 1Only to the tribe of Levi he did not give an inheritance; the offerings by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as He spoke to him.
15 So Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of the sons of Reuben according to their families.
16 Their territory was 2from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, with the city which is in the middle of the valley and all the plain by Medeba;
17 Heshbon, and all its cities which are on the plain: Dibon and Bamoth-baal and Beth-baal-meon,
18 and 3Jahaz and Kedemoth and Mephaath,
19 and 4Kiriathaim and Sibmah and Zereth-shahar on the hill of the valley,
20 and Beth-peor and the slopes of Pisgah and Beth-jeshimoth,
21 even all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the chiefs of Midian, 5Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who lived in the land.
22 The sons of Israel also killed 6Balaam the son of Beor, the diviner, with the sword among the rest of their slain.
23 The border of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their villages.
24 Moses also gave an inheritance to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, according to their families.

\\INTRODUCTION JOSHUA 13\\

In this chapter Joshua is informed by the Lord, or put in mind, that
part of the land of Canaan remained unconquered, and which it was; and
is directed to divide the whole land among the nine tribes, and the
half tribe of Manasseh, Jos 13:1-9; and since the two tribes of Reuben
and Gad, and the other half tribe of Manasseh, had received their
inheritance on the other side Jordan, Jos 13:8; that is described in
general, Jos 13:9-14; and, then the particular portion of Reuben,
Jos 13:15-23; and of Gad, Jos 13:24-28; and of the half tribe of
Manasseh, Jos 13:29-33.
