But 1thesemenrevile the things which they do not understand; and 2the things which they know by instinct, 3likeunreasoninganimals, by thesethings they are adestroyed.
11Woe to them! For they have gone4the way of Cain, and for paybthey have rushedheadlong into 5the error of Balaam, and 6perished in the rebellion of Korah.
12These are the men who are chiddenreefs7in your lovefeasts when they feast with you 8withoutfear, caring for themselves; 9cloudswithoutwater, 10carriedalong by winds; autumntreeswithoutfruit, ddoublydead, 11uprooted;
1312wildwaves of the sea, casting up 13their owneshamelikefoam; wanderingstars, 14for whom the fblackdarkness has been reservedforever.
It was also about these men that 15Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, "16Behold, the Lordcame with gmanythousands of His holyones,
1517to executejudgment upon all, and to convictall the ungodly of all their ungodlydeedswhich they have done in an ungodlyway, and of all the harshthingswhich18ungodlysinners have spokenagainst Him."
16These are 19grumblers, findingfault, 20followingafter their own lusts; hthey speak21arrogantly, flatteringpeople22for the sake of gaining an advantage.
But you, 23beloved, 24ought to remember the words that were spokenbeforehand by 25the apostles of our LordJesusChrist,
that they were saying to you, "26In the lasttime there will be mockers, 27followingafter their ownungodlylusts."
19These are the ones who causedivisions, i28worldly-minded, jdevoid of the Spirit.
