21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have ¹hope. 22 The LORD'S ²lovingkindnesses ^aindeed never cease, ³For His compassions never fail. 23 They are new ⁴every morning ; Great is ⁵Your faithfulness. 24 "The LORD is my ⁶portion," says my soul, "Therefore I ⁷have hope in Him." 25 The LORD is good to those who ⁸wait for Him, To the ^bperson who ⁹seeks Him. 26 It is good that he ¹⁰waits silently For the salvation of the LORD. 27 It is good for a man that he should bear The yoke in his youth. 28 Let him ¹¹sit alone and be silent Since He has laid it on him. 29 Let him ^cput his mouth in the ¹²dust, Perhaps there is ¹³hope. 30 Let him give his ¹⁴cheek to ^dthe smiter, Let him be filled with reproach. 31 For the Lord will ¹⁵not reject forever,
