Luke 22:22-32

"For indeed, the Son of Man is going 1as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!"
And they began to discuss among themselves which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing.

Who Is Greatest

And there arose also 2a dispute among them as to which one of them was regarded to be greatest.
3And He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who have authority over them are called 'Benefactors.'
"But it is not this way with you, 4but the one who is the greatest among you must become like 5the youngest, and the leader like the servant.
"For 6who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But 7I am among * you as the one who serves.
"You are those who have stood by Me in My 8trials;
and just as My Father has granted Me a 9kingdom, I grant you
that you may 10eat and drink at My table in My 11kingdom, and 12you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
"Simon, Simon, behold, 13Satan has demanded permission to 14sift you like wheat;
but I 15have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, 16strengthen your brothers."
