for he had an onlydaughter, abouttwelveyears old, and she was dying. But as He went, the crowds were pressingagainst Him.

And a woman who had a hemorrhage* for twelveyears, and could not be healed by anyone,

came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her hemorrhage*stopped.
45
And Jesussaid, "Who is the one who touched Me?" And while they were alldenying it, Petersaid, "1Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You."

But Jesussaid, "Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that 2power had gone out of Me."

When the womansaw that she had not escapednotice, she cametrembling and felldownbefore Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reasonwhy* she had touched Him, and how she had been immediatelyhealed.

And He said to her, "Daughter, 3your faith has made you well; 4go in peace."

While He was stillspeaking, someonecame from the house of 5the synagogueofficial, saying, "Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacheranymore."

But when Jesusheard this, He answered him, "6Do not be afraid any longer; onlybelieve, and she will be madewell."

When He came to the house, He did not allowanyone to enter with Him, exceptPeter and John and James, and the girl'sfather and mother.

Now they were allweeping and 7lamenting for her; but He said, "Stopweeping, for she has not died, but 8is asleep."
