"5It is like a manaway on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to eachone his task, alsocommanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.

"Therefore, 6be on the alert -for you do not knowwhen the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or7when the roostercrows, or8in the morning -

in case he should comesuddenly and find you 9asleep.
