"4When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worrybeforehand about what you are to say, but saywhatever* is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the HolySpirit.

"Brother will betraybrother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up againstparents and have them put to death.

"5You will be hated by allbecause of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

"But 6when you see the 7ABOMINATION OF DESOLATIONstandingwhere it should not be (let the readerunderstand ), thenthosewho are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

"8The onewho is on the housetop must not godown, orgo in to getanything out of his house;

and the onewho is in the field must not turnback* to get his coat.

"But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursingbabies in thosedays!

"But pray that it may not happen in the winter.

"For thosedays will be a time of tribulationsuch as has not occurred9since the beginning of the creationwhichGodcreateduntilnow, and never* will.
