After 1lookingaround at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

The Phariseeswent out and immediately began conspiring with the 2Herodiansagainst Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

3Jesuswithdrew to the sea with His disciples; and 4a greatmultitude from Galileefollowed; and also from Judea,

and from Jerusalem, and from 5Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of 6Tyre and Sidon, a greatnumber of peopleheard of all that He was doing and came to Him.

7And He told His disciples that a boat should standready for Him because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd Him;
10
for He had 8healedmany, with the result that all those whohad9afflictionspressedaround Him in order to 10touch Him.

Whenever the uncleanspiritssaw Him, they would falldownbefore Him and shout, "You are 11the Son of God!"

And He 12earnestlywarned them not to tellwho He was.

13 And He went up on 13the mountain and 14summoned those whom He Himselfwanted, and they came to Him.

And He appointedtwelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach,
