Taking the blindman by the hand, He 1brought him out of the village; and after 2spitting on his eyes and 3laying His hands on him, He asked him, "Do you seeanything?"

And he looked up and said, "I seemen, for I see them liketrees, walkingaround."

Thenagain He laid His hands on his eyes; and he lookedintently and was restored, and began to seeeverythingclearly.

And He sent him to his home, saying, "Do not evenenter4the village."

10And He began to teach them that 11the Son of Manmustsuffermanythings and be rejected by the elders and the chiefpriests and the scribes, and be killed, and afterthreedaysriseagain.

And He was stating the matter12plainly. And Petertook Him aside and began to rebuke Him.

But turningaround and seeing His disciples, He rebukedPeter and said, "Getbehind Me, 13Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."
