221Immediately He amade the disciplesget into the boat and goahead of Him to the otherside, while He sent the crowdsaway.
After He had sent the crowdsaway, 2He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was therealone.
But the boat was alreadyba longdistance from the land, cbattered by the waves; for the wind was d3contrary.
And in 4the efourthwatch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.
When the disciplessaw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It is 5a ghost!" And they cried out fin fear.
But immediatelyJesusspoke to them, saying, "6Takecourage, it is I; 7do not be afraid."28Petersaid to Him, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
And He said, "Come!" And Petergot out of the boat, and walked on the water and cametowardJesus.
But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31ImmediatelyJesusstretched out His hand and tookhold of him, and said to him, "8You of littlefaith, why did you doubt?"32
When they got into the boat, the windstopped.
And those who were in the boatworshiped Him, saying, "You are certainly9God'sSon!"
3410When they had crossedover, they came to land at 11Gennesaret.
And when the men of that placegrecognized Him, they sent word into all that surroundingdistrict and brought to Him all who were sick;
and they implored Him that they might justtouch12the fringe of His cloak; and as many as 13touched it were cured.
