Matthew 16:10-20

10 "Or 1the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets full you picked up?
11 "How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But 2beware of the leaven of the 3Pharisees and Sadducees."
12 Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the 4Pharisees and Sadducees.

13 5Now when Jesus came into the district of 6Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, "Who do people say that 7the Son of Man is?"
14 And they said, "Some say 8John the Baptist; and others, 9Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets."
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered, "You are 10the Christ, 11the Son of 12the living God."
17 And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, 13Simon Barjona, because 14flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 "I also say to you that you are 15Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of 16Hades will not overpower it.
19 "I will give you 17the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and 18whatever * you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever * you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."
20 19Then He warned the disciples that they should tell no one that He was 20the Christ.
