Petersaid to Him, "4Evenif I have to die with You, I will not deny You." All the disciplessaid the samethingtoo.
The Garden of Gethsemane
365ThenJesuscame with them to a placecalled6Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, "Sitherewhile I gooverthere and pray."

And He took with Him 7Peter and the twosons of Zebedee, and began to be grieved and distressed.

Then He said to them, "8My soul is deeplygrieved, to the point of death; remainhere and 9keepwatch with Me."

And He went a littlebeyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let 10thiscuppass from Me; 11yet not as I will, but as You will."

And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "So, you men could not 12keepwatch with Me for onehour?

"13Keepwatching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; 14the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

He wentawayagain a secondtime and prayed, saying, "My Father, ifthis15cannot*passawayunless* I drink it, 16Your will be done."
