18Now when Jesussaw a crowdaround Him, 1He gaveorders to depart to the otherside of the sea.
192Then a scribecame and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."
20Jesussaid to him, "The foxeshaveholes and the birds of the aair have bnests, but 3the Son of Manhasnowhere to lay His head."21Another of the disciplessaid to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father."
But Jesussaid to him, "4Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their owndead."235When He got into the boat, His disciplesfollowed Him.
And behold, there aroseca greatstorm on the sea, so that the boat was beingcovered with the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep.
And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "6Save us, Lord; we are perishing!"
He said to them, "Why are you dafraid, 7you men of littlefaith?"Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and eit becameperfectlycalm.
The men were amazed, and said, "Whatkind of a man is this, that even the winds and the seaobey Him?"
288When He came to the otherside into the country of the Gadarenes, two men who were 9demon-possessedmet Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremelyviolent that noonecouldpass by that way.
And they cried out, saying, "f10What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You comehere to torment us beforegthe time?"
30Now there was a herd of manyswinefeeding at a distance from them.
The demons began to entreat Him, saying, "If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of swine."
And He said to them, "Go!" And they came out and went into the swine, and the wholeherdrusheddown the steepbank into the sea and perished in the waters.
The herdsmenranaway, and went to the city and reportedeverything, hincludingwhathadhappened to the 11demoniacs.
And behold, the wholecitycame out to meetJesus; and when they saw Him, 12they implored Him to leave their region.
