and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may becomeeffectiveathrough the 1knowledge of everygoodthing which is in you bfor Christ'ssake.
For I have come to havemuch2joy and comfort in your love, because the chearts of the dsaints have been 3refreshedthrough you, brother.
8Therefore, 4though I haveeenoughconfidence in Christ to order you to do what is 5proper,
yet for love'ssake I rather6appeal to you-since I amsuch a person as Paul, f the 7aged, and nowalso8 a prisoner of 9ChristJesus -
I 10appeal to you for my 11childg12Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my himprisonment,
who formerly was useless to you, but now is usefulboth to you and to me.
I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart,
13whom I wished to keep with me, so that on your behalf he might minister to me in my i13imprisonment for the gospel ;
but without your consent I did not want to doanything, so that your goodness would 14not be, in effect, by compulsion but of your own freewill.
For perhaps15he was for thisreasonseparated from you for a while, that you would have him backforever,
1616nolonger as a slave, but morethan a slave, 17a belovedbrother, especially to me, but howmuchmore to you, both18in the flesh and in the Lord.
