21
For to me, 1to live is Christ and to die is gain.
22aBut if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean 2fruitfullabor for me; and I do not knowbwhich to choose.
23
But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the 3desire to depart and 4be with Christ, for that is verymuchbetter ;
24yet to remain on in the flesh is morenecessary for your sake.
255Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joycin the faith,
26so that your 6proudconfidence in me may abound in ChristJesusthrough my coming to you again.
27Onlyconduct yourselves in a manner7worthy of the 8gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you orremainabsent, I will hear of you that you are 9standingfirm in 10onespirit, with onedmind11strivingtogether for the faith of the gospel ;
28
in nowayalarmed by your opponents-which is a 12sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
29
For to you 13it has been granted for Christ'ssake, not only to believe in Him, but also to 14suffer for His sake,
30experiencing the same15conflictwhich16you saw in me, and nowhear to be in me.
