Proverbs 18:5-15

To 1show partiality * to the wicked is not good, Nor to 2thrust aside the righteous in judgment.
A fool's lips bring strife, And his mouth calls for 3blows.
A 4fool's mouth is his ruin, And his lips are the snare of his soul.
The words of a whisperer are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body.
He also who is 5slack in his work 6Is brother to him who destroys.
The 7name of the LORD is a 8strong tower; The righteous runs into it and 9is safe.
A 10rich man's wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
11Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But 12humility goes before honor.
He who 13gives an answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him.
The 14spirit of a man can endure his sickness, But as for a 15broken spirit who can bear it?
The 16mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the 17ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
