Lament over Defeat in Battle, and Prayer for Help.

O God, 1You have rejected us. You have 2broken us; You have been 3angry; O, 4restore us.
You have made the 5land quake, You have split it open; 6Heal its breaches, for it totters.
You have 7made Your people experience hardship; You have given us wine to 8drink that makes us stagger.
You have given a 9banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because * of the truth. Selah.
10That Your 11beloved may be delivered, 12Save with Your right hand, and answer us!
God has spoken in His 13holiness: "I will exult, I will portion out 14Shechem and measure out the valley of 15Succoth.
"16Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; 17Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My 18scepter.
"19Moab is My washbowl; Over 20Edom I shall throw My shoe; Shout loud, O 21Philistia, because of Me!"
Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Have not You Yourself, O God, 22rejected us? And 23will You not go forth with our armies, O God?
O give us help against the adversary, For 24deliverance by man is in vain.
Through God we shall 25do valiantly, And it is He who will 26tread down our adversaries.
