137 ¹Righteous are You, O LORD, And upright are Your judgments. 138 You have commanded Your testimonies in ²righteousness And exceeding ³faithfulness. 139 My ⁴zeal has ^aconsumed me, Because my adversaries have forgotten Your words. 140 Your ^b⁵word is very ^cpure, Therefore Your servant ⁶loves it. 141 I am small and ⁷despised, Yet I do not ⁸forget Your precepts. 142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And ⁹Your law is truth. 143 Trouble and anguish have ^dcome upon me, Yet Your commandments are my ¹⁰delight. 144 Your ¹¹testimonies are righteous forever ; ¹²Give me understanding that I may live.
