5 I ¹remember the days of old ; I ²meditate on all Your doings ; I ³muse on the work of Your hands. 6 I ⁴stretch out my hands to You; My ⁵soul longs for You, as a ^aparched land. ^bSelah. 7 ⁶Answer me quickly, O LORD, my ⁷spirit fails ; ⁸Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will become like ⁹those who go down to the pit. 8 Let me hear Your ¹⁰lovingkindness ¹¹in the morning ; For I trust ¹²in You; Teach me the ¹³way in which I should walk ; For to You I ¹⁴lift up my soul. 9 ¹⁵Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies ; ^cI take refuge in You. 10 ¹⁶Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God ; Let ¹⁷Your good Spirit ¹⁸lead me on level ^dground. 11 ¹⁹For the sake of Your name, O LORD, ²⁰revive me. ²¹In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. 12 And in Your lovingkindness, ^e²²cut off my enemies And ²³destroy all those who afflict my soul, For ²⁴I am Your servant.
