and 1in the middle of the lampstands I saw one2likeaa son of man, 3clothed in a robereaching to the feet, and 4girdedacross His chest with a goldensash.
His head and His 5hair were whitelikewhitewool, likesnow ; and 6His eyes were like a flame of fire.
His 7feet were likeburnishedbronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His 8voice was like the sound of manywaters.
In His righthand He held9sevenstars, and out of His mouthcame a 10sharptwo-edgedsword ; and His 11face was like12the sunbshining in its strength.
17When I saw Him, I 13fell at His feetlike a deadman. And He 14placed His righthand on me, saying, "15Do not be afraid ; 16I am the first and the last,18and the 17living One; and I c18was dead, and behold, I amaliveforevermore, and I have19the keys of death and of Hades.19"Therefore20write21the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will takeplace22afterthesethings.20"As for the 23mystery of the 24sevenstarswhich you saw in My righthand, and the 25sevengoldenlampstands : the 26sevenstars are the angels of 27the sevenchurches, and the seven28lampstands are the sevenchurches.
