28aFrom the standpoint of the gospel they are 1enemies for your sake, but bfrom the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for 2the sake of the fathers;
for the gifts and the 3calling of God4are irrevocable.
For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shownmercy because of their disobedience,
31sothesealsonow have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shownmercy.
For 5God has shut up all in disobedienceso that He may showmercy to all.
33Oh, the depth of 6the richescboth of the 7wisdom and knowledge of God! 8Howunsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
For 9WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, ORWHOBECAME HIS COUNSELOR?
35Or10WHO HAS FIRSTGIVEN TO HIM dTHAT IT MIGHT BE PAIDBACK TO HIM AGAIN?
For 11from Him and through Him and to Him are allthings. 12To Him be the gloryeforever. Amen.
