Results of Justification

1 ¹Therefore, having been justified by faith, ^a²we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have ³obtained our introduction by faith into this grace ⁴in which we stand ; and ^bwe exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 ⁵And not only this, but ^cwe also ⁶exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about ⁷perseverance ; 4 and ⁸perseverance, ⁹proven character ; and proven character, hope ; 5 and hope ¹⁰does not disappoint, because the love of God has been ¹¹poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 6 For while we were still ¹²helpless, ¹³at the right time ¹⁴Christ died for the ungodly.
