1Remind them 2to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be 3ready for every good deed,
to malign no one, 4to be peaceable, 5gentle, 6showing every consideration for all men.
7For we also once were foolish ourselves, 8disobedient, 9deceived, 10enslaved to 11various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in 12malice and 13envy, hateful, hating one another.
But when the 14kindness of 15God our Savior and His love for mankind 16appeared,
17He saved us, 18not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but 19according to His mercy, by the 20washing of regeneration and 21renewing by the Holy Spirit,
22whom He poured out upon us 23richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
