John 6:2

2 A large crowd of people followed him. They had seen the miraculous signs he had done on those who were sick.

John 6:2 Meaning and Commentary

John 6:2

And a great multitude followed him
From several cities and towns in Galilee, where he had been preaching and working miracles:

because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were
diseased;
so that it was not for the sake of his doctrine, or for the good of their souls, they followed him; but either to gratify their curiosity in seeing his miracles, or to be healed in their bodies, as others had been.

2 A large crowd of people followed him. They had seen the miraculous signs he had done on those who were sick.
3 Then Jesus went up on a mountainside. There he sat down with his disciples.
4 The Jewish Passover Feast was near.
5 Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him. So he said to Philip, "Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?"
