Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he
wrought, are they not written in the book of the kings of Israel?
] What he did both before and after his usurpation, during the seven days he was king, and the manner of his conspiracy, and success in it.

18 When Zimri saw that the city had been taken, he went into the citadel of the palace and burned it down over himself and died in the flames.
