45 “If you refuse to listen to the LORD your God and to obey the commands and decrees he has given you, all these curses will pursue and overtake you until you are destroyed.

Deuteronomy 28:45

Moreover, all these curses shall come upon thee
Before related, as well as what follow:

and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee till thou be destroyed;
which though they would endeavour to flee from and escape, should not be able, since they would follow them so closely and swiftly, and overtake them, and seize upon them; see ( Deuteronomy 28:15 ) ;

because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to
keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee;
to which disobedience all the curses are to be imputed that go before or follow after.

44 They will lend money to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, and you will be the tail!

46 These horrors will serve as a sign and warning among you and your descendants forever.
