Ezekiel 43:23

23 When you have finished purifying it, you shall offer a bull without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish.

Ezekiel 43:23 Meaning and Commentary

Ezekiel 43:23

When thou hast made an end of cleansing it
The altar, by the sacrifices of the bullock and the kid, on the first and second days; then, on the third day, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the
flock without blemish;
all these sacrifices point at the one sacrifice of Christ; which was pure and perfect, and once offered up for the sins of many, and needs no reiteration; only the doctrine of it is to be frequently inculcated in the ministry of the word and ordinances.

Ezekiel 43:23 In-Context

21 You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burnt in the appointed place belonging to the temple, outside the sacred area.
22 On the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and the altar shall be purified, as it was purified with the bull.
23 When you have finished purifying it, you shall offer a bull without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish.
24 You shall present them before the Lord, and the priests shall throw salt on them and offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord.
25 For seven days you shall provide daily a goat for a sin offering; also a bull and a ram from the flock, without blemish, shall be provided.
