26 Que tu nombre sea honrado para siempre, de modo que todos digan: “¡El Señor
de los Ejércitos Celestiales es Dios sobre Israel!”. Que la casa de tu siervo David permanezca delante de ti para siempre.

2 Samuel 7:26

And let thy name be magnified for ever
David desired the performance of the above things not so much for his own sake, and for the sake of his family, as for the glory of God; his great concern was, that God might be magnified, and his greatness displayed, in making him and his family great; and particularly that he might be magnified and glorified in that famous Son of his, the Messiah, as he has been, ( John 13:31 John 13:32 ) ; and by all his people in succeeding ages:

saying, the Lord of hosts [is] the God over Israel;
the Lord of armies above and below, is God over all, and in a special and peculiar manner God over Israel, literal and spiritual, that takes care of them, supplies, protects, and defends them:

and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee;
as he had promised, ( 2 Samuel 7:16 ) .

24 Hiciste de Israel tu pueblo para siempre y tú, oh Señor
, llegaste a ser su Dios.

25 »Y ahora, oh Señor
Dios, yo soy tu siervo; haz lo que prometiste respecto a mí y a mi familia. Confírmalo como una promesa que durará para siempre.

de los Ejércitos Celestiales es Dios sobre Israel!”. Que la casa de tu siervo David permanezca delante de ti para siempre.

27 »Oh Señor
de los Ejércitos Celestiales, Dios de Israel, yo me he atrevido a elevarte esta oración porque le revelaste todo esto a tu siervo con las siguientes palabras: “Construiré una casa para ti, ¡una dinastía de reyes!”.

28 Pues tú eres Dios, oh Señor
Soberano; tus palabras son verdad, y le has prometido estas cosas buenas a tu siervo.
