les ha enviado a sus siervos, los profetas, pero ustedes no escucharon ni prestaron atención.

Jeremiah 25:4

And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets,
&c.] Not only him, but many others, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, and others: rising early and sending [them];
not only the prophet, but the Lord himself is said to rise early, and send his prophets to them; which denotes his great care and concern for this people for their good; see ( Jeremiah 7:25 ) ; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear;
which is an aggravation of their sin; that whereas they had one prophet after another sent to them, and sent by the Lord himself; he rising early, and sending them; and they rising early, being sent to do their message; and yet were not hearkened and attended to.

2 Jeremías el profeta le dijo a todo el pueblo de Judá y de Jerusalén:

3 «Durante los últimos veintitrés años —desde el año trece del reinado de Josías, hijo de Amón,
rey de Judá, hasta ahora— el Señor
me ha estado dando sus mensajes. Yo se los he comunicado con toda fidelidad, pero ustedes no han querido escuchar.

4 »Una y otra vez, el Señor
les ha enviado a sus siervos, los profetas, pero ustedes no escucharon ni prestaron atención.

5 Todas las veces el mensaje fue: “Apártense de su mal camino y de sus malas acciones. Solo entonces los dejaré vivir en esta tierra que el Señor
les dio a ustedes y a sus antepasados para siempre.

6 No provoquen mi enojo al rendir culto a ídolos que ustedes hicieron con sus propias manos. Entonces no les haré ningún daño”.
