Salmos 130:2

2 Escucha mi clamor, oh Señor.
Presta atención a mi oración.

Salmos 130:2 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 130:2

Lord, hear my voice
His prayer, which was vocal: God is a God hearing prayer; sometimes his people think he does not hear them; but he always does, and in his own time answers; for to hear prayer with him is to answer it; which he does likewise in his own way as well as time; and not always in the way and at the time his people would have him;

let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications;
his prayers put up in an humble suppliant manner, for grace and mercy; not pleading merit and righteousness: these he desires God would hearken to and hear, listen unto, bow and incline his ears, as he is sometimes said to do; which is a wonderful instance of his condescension.

Salmos 130:2 In-Context

1 Salmo 130
Cántico para los peregrinos que suben a Jerusalén.
Desde lo profundo de mi desesperación, oh Señor
,
clamo por tu ayuda.
2 Escucha mi clamor, oh Señor.
Presta atención a mi oración.
3 Señor
, si llevaras un registro de nuestros pecados,
¿quién, oh Señor, podría sobrevivir?
4 Pero tú ofreces perdón,
para que aprendamos a temerte.
5 Yo cuento con el Señor
;
sí, cuento con él;
en su palabra he puesto mi esperanza.
