1 Kings 20:6

Yet I will send my servants unto thee tomorrow about this
time
He gave him twenty four hours to consider of it:

and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants;
the royal palace, and the houses of the noblemen, and even of every of his subjects in Samaria:

and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant (or desirable) in thine
eyes, they shall put it in, their hand, and take it away;
not be content with what should be given, but search for more; and if any in particular was more desirable to the possessor than anything else, that should be sure to be taken away; which was vastly insolent and aggravating.

4 O rei respondeu: “Que seja conforme tu dizes, ó rei, meu senhor. Eu e tudo o que tenho somos teus”.

5 Os mensageiros voltaram ao rei e disseram: “Assim diz Ben-Hadade: ‘Mandei tomar sua prata e seu ouro, suas mulheres e seus filhos.

6 Mas amanhã, a esta hora, enviarei meus oficiais para vasculharem o seu palácio e as casas dos seus oficiais. Eles me trarão tudo o que você considera de valor’.”

7 O rei de Israel convocou todas as autoridades de Israel e lhes disse: “Vejam como esse homem está querendo a nossa desgraça! Quando mandou tomar as minhas mulheres e os meus filhos, a minha prata e o meu ouro, eu não lhe neguei!”

8 As autoridades e todo o povo responderam: “Não lhe dês atenção nem concordes com as suas exigências”.
