23 O SENHOR recompensa a justiça e a fidelidade de cada um. Ele te entregou nas minhas mãos hoje, mas eu não levantaria a mão contra o ungido do SENHOR.

1 Samuel 26:23

The Lord render to every man his righteousness, and his
faithfulness
Or recompense every man that deals justly and faithfully with others, as he had done with Saul; or the Lord, who is just and faithful to his promises, reward the men that act the good and upright part; and this was a prayer of faith; for David doubted not that, though Saul might fail, yet God could not;

for the Lord delivered thee into [my] hand this day;
or, "into an hand"

21 Então Saul disse: “Pequei! Volte, meu filho Davi! Como hoje você considerou preciosa a minha vida, não farei mal a você de novo. Tenho agido como um tolo e cometi um grande erro”.

22 Respondeu Davi: “Aqui está a lança do rei. Venha um de seus servos pegá-la.

23 O SENHOR recompensa a justiça e a fidelidade de cada um. Ele te entregou nas minhas mãos hoje, mas eu não levantaria a mão contra o ungido do SENHOR.

24 Assim como eu hoje considerei a tua vida de grande valor, que o SENHOR também considere a minha vida e me livre de toda a angústia”.

25 Então Saul disse a Davi: “Seja você abençoado, meu filho Davi; você fará muitas coisas e em tudo será bem-sucedido”.Assim Davi seguiu seu caminho, e Saul voltou para casa.
