Numbers 21:19

And from Mattanah to Nahaliel, and from Nahaliel to Bamoth.
] All the Targums interpret this, and the following verse, not of the journeying of the children of Israel, but of the motion of the well, that that, from the place from whence it was given them, descended with them into the valleys, and from thence to the high places, as these words signify: and indeed those places are not mentioned in the journeys of the children of Israel, ( Numbers 33:1-56 ) and were not stations where they pitched, but places they passed through before they came to Abarim, and the wilderness of Kedemoth.

17 Then Yisroel sang this shirah (song), Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it.
18 The sarim (princes) dug the well, the nobles of the people dug it, by the direction of the Mechokek (Lawgiver), with their rods. And from the midbar they went to Mattanah;
19 And from Mattanah to Nachaliel; and from Nachaliel to Bamot;
20 And from Bamot in the valley, that is in the country of Moav, to the top of Pisgah, overlooking the surface of the wasteland.
21 And Yisroel sent messengers unto Sichon Melech HaEmori, saying,
