Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares . 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them ; and them which suffer adversity , as being yourselves also in the body. 3 Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge . 4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have : for he hath said , I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
So that we may boldly say , The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. 6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow , considering the end of their conversation. 7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein . 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.
We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. 10 We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
