But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, 21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith. He did this to show his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed; 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--
it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies the one who has faith in Jesus. 26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
