Ephesians 5:22-31

ESV 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. ESV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. ESV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. ESV 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her ESV 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, ESV 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. ESV 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. ESV 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- ESV 30 because we are members of his body. NIV 30 for we are members of his body. ESV 31 "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." NIV 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
