Exodus 21:12-17

CSB 12 "Whoever strikes a person so that he dies must be put to death. NIV 12 "Anyone who strikes a man and kills him shall surely be put to death. CSB 13 But if he didn't intend any harm, and yet God caused it to happen by his hand, I will appoint a place for you where he may flee. NIV 13 However, if he does not do it intentionally, but God lets it happen, he is to flee to a place I will designate. CSB 14 If a person willfully acts against his neighbor to murder him by scheming, you must take him from My altar to be put to death. NIV 14 But if a man schemes and kills another man deliberately, take him away from my altar and put him to death. CSB 15 "Whoever strikes his father or his mother must be put to death.
