Ezekiel 3:1-6

NLT 1 The voice said to me, “Son of man, eat what I am giving you—eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.” NIV 1 And he said to me, "Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel." NLT 2 So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. NIV 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. NLT 3 “Fill your stomach with this,” he said. And when I ate it, it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. NIV 3 Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. NLT 4 Then he said, “Son of man, go to the people of Israel and give them my messages. NIV 4 He then said to me: "Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them. NLT 5 I am not sending you to a foreign people whose language you cannot understand. NIV 5 You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel-- NLT 6 No, I am not sending you to people with strange and difficult speech. If I did, they would listen! NIV 6 not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
