Genesis 17:1-6

DBY 1 And Abram was ninety-nine years old, when Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said to him, I [am] the Almighty God: walk before my face, and be perfect. NIV 1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. DBY 2 And I will set my covenant between me and thee, and will very greatly multiply thee. NIV 2 I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers." DBY 3 And Abram fell on his face; and God talked with him, saying, NIV 3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, DBY 4 It is I: behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of a multitude of nations. NIV 4 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. DBY 5 And thy name shall no more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of a multitude of nations have I made thee. NIV 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. DBY 6 And I will make thee exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. NIV 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.
