Genesis 36

RHE 1 And these are the generations of Esau, the same is Edom. NIV 1 This is the account of Esau (that is, Edom). RHE 2 Esau took wives of the daughters of Chanaan: Ada the daughter of Elon the Hethite, and Oolibama the daughter of Ana, the daughter of Sebeon the Hevite: NIV 2 Esau took his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite-- RHE 3 And Basemath, the daughter of Ismael, sister of Nabajoth. NIV 3 also Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth. RHE 4 And Ada bore Eliphaz: Basemath bore Rahuel. NIV 4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel, RHE 5 Oolibama bore Jehus, and Ihelon, and Core. These are the sons of Esau, that were born to him in the land of Chanaan. NIV 5 and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan. RHE 6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons and daughters, and every soul of his house, and his substance, and cattle, and all that he was able to acquire in the land of Chanaan: and went into another country, and departed from his brother Jacob. NIV 11 The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz. RHE 12 And Thamna was the concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau: and she bore him Amalech. These are the sons of Ada, the wife of Esau. NIV 12 Esau's son Eliphaz also had a concubine named Timna, who bore him Amalek. These were grandsons of Esau's wife Adah. RHE 13 And the sons of Rahuel were Nahath and Zara, Samma and Meza. These were the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau. NIV 13 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the chiefs descended from Reuel in Edom; they were grandsons of Esau's wife Basemath. RHE 18 And these the sons of Oolibama, the wife of Esau: duke Jehus, duke Ihelon, duke Core. These are the dukes of Oolibama, the daughter of Ana, and wife of Esau. NIV 18 The sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah: Chiefs Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the chiefs descended from Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah. RHE 19 These are the sons of Esau, and these the dukes of them: the same is Edom. These are dukes of the Horrites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom. NIV 21 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These sons of Seir in Edom were Horite chiefs. RHE 22 And Lotan had sons: Hori and Heman. And the sister of Lotan was Thamna. NIV 22 The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan's sister. RHE 23 And these the sons of Sobal: Alvan, and Manahat, and Ebal, and Sepho, and Onam. NIV 23 The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam. RHE 24 And these the sons of Sebeon: Aia and Ana. This is Ana that found the hot waters in the wilderness, when he fed the asses of Sebeon, his father: NIV 24 The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. NIV 30 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These were the Horite chiefs, according to their divisions, in the land of Seir. RHE 31 And the kings that ruled in the land of Edom, before the children of Israel had a king, were these: NIV 31 These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned: RHE 32 Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city Denaba. NIV 32 Bela son of Beor became king of Edom. His city was named Dinhabah. RHE 33 And Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zara, of Bosra, reigned in his stead. NIV 33 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king. RHE 34 And when Jobab was dead, Husam, of the land of the Themanites, reigned in his stead. NIV 34 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king. RHE 35 And after his death, Adad, the son of Badad, reigned in his stead, who defeated the Madianites in the country of Boab; and the name of his city was Avith. NIV 35 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith. RHE 36 And when Adad was dead, there reigned in his stead, Semla, of Masreca. NIV 36 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king. RHE 37 And he being dead, Saul, of the river Rohoboth, reigned in his stead. NIV 37 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river succeeded him as king. RHE 38 And when he also was dead, Balanan, the son of Achobor, succeeded to the kingdom. NIV 38 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Acbor succeeded him as king. RHE 39 This man also being dead, Adar reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Phau: and his wife was called Meetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezaab. NIV 39 When Baal-Hanan son of Acbor died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife's name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. RHE 40 And these are the names of the dukes of Esau in their kindreds, and places, and callings: duke Thamna, duke Alva, duke Jetheth, NIV 40 These were the chiefs descended from Esau, by name, according to their clans and regions: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, RHE 41 Duke Oolibama, duke Ela, duke Phinon, NIV 41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, RHE 42 Duke Cenez, duke Theman, duke Mabsar, NIV 42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, RHE 43 Duke Magdiel, duke Hiram: these are the dukes of Edom dwelling in the land of their government; the same is Esau, the father of the Edomites. NIV 43 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied. This was Esau the father of the Edomites.
